Why do I need to spray oil to make a prototype model?

Generally in our industry, we can see that many prototype models made have the effect of spraying oil. Oil injection can not only make the product beautiful, it is usually a CNC machined prototype model. After the oil injection process, the effect can be comparable to the finished product. comparable.
Prototype models need to be polished before spraying. When polishing, consider the flatness of the prototype, whether the edges and corners are in place, and the bonding traces should not be clearly exposed. Coloring generally requires pantone numbering, which is commonly referred to. The global Pantone number has a qualitative standard for color adjustment. Generally, if you are a professional prototype factory, you need to have such a Pantone color chart comparison table, so that customers have related fuel injection requirements, only need to provide the corresponding Pantone color number.
However, some materials are very difficult to paint, such as POM (commonly known as Saigang) and PP materials. So basically the prototypes of Saigang material or PP material are not colored. After CNC processing, you only need to polish the original color.
If it is an appearance prototype, the requirements for the appearance of the product are relatively high, but because the materials used in processing will only have one color, if you need a colorful effect, you must use post-painting to achieve it.
